I recently purchased my 94 maxum 1800 and had a problem finding a lower unit lube leak which all you guys were able to help me find. Now after reading many posts I'm in need of a highly recommended repair shop as I think I've decided to have the outdrive removed, input seal replaced and while its off I want all the bellows, cables, trim switches, any other parts replaced and adjusted properly. Price is not my main concern as much as a clean and proper install off all parts just like the boat was made new. Properly routing cables and wiring and adjusting it all . I would like to hear from someone that may have first hand experience with a local shop that they would be able to recommend. I'm located in Scotia,N.Y. zip code 12302 Thanks Tom I usually do things myself as it seems when I do try to have someone do something for me,I have ended up not being pleased with the work. The last time was with a pool liner replament and I hired a large pool company and when the pool was half full the liner pulled out of the top rim and was hanging done 5 inches. I called and they said no problem they will need to come over and heat and stretch my new liner and put it in place. I didn't want them to stretch anything as I saw excess liner bunched on the bottom . They ended up coming over when they thought I wasn't home and was setting up a heatgun and I sent them packing. I drained the pool and spent the whole day adjusting the liner and refilled it ? I don't want to go thru that with my boat!
