Ever since of owned this boat the throttle has been stiff when in gear, either forward or reverse. Also the seems to more friction decreasing the throttle compare to increasing.
This is becoming more of an issue due to using the boat for tubing, etc. Hard to change speeds smoothly.
It goes into forward and reverse gear with no issues. If I put the boat in neutral the throttle is smooth, like one would expect it.
I removed the throttle from the linkage at the carb. Put the boat in forward gear. very stiff still.
Before I replace the control cables. Doe anyone think this an issue with the controller itself? Is there anything else I should try?
