mercruiser tilt/trim help!!!! please!!!

I found this link in the forums: http://http://www.boatfix.com/merc/Servmanl/14/14c1.pdf and I wanted to know if this is for ANY mercruiser or only a particular one? I have a mercruiser 4.3/V6 Alpha One and the bow switch will not work going up and the trailering switch will not work going down. I'd like to use this link IF it applies to mine .... help!!! Thank you to any one who replies!

In think you mean this one
trailer button only raises the drive
in button only lowers the drive
trin button partially raises the drive ,then trailer must be used to fully raise it.

I'll try that one! Bless you! I tried to find out which one the other applied to but couldn't! Not that savy on these forums! THANKS AGAIN SOOOOO MUCH!! Oh ...... are there other manuals that apply to mine that I may need? Ours didn't come with any --- or can you tell me a place to go to get them???
