Mercruiser Tilt Trim Pump

I have a 1975 Fishmaster with the Mercruiser 3.0 140 HP I/O. The tilt/trim pump is out. Can I rebuild this or do I need to just replace it? Any suggestions on where to find the parts kit or replacement pump? I've look at some used ones on Ebay but would hate to buy one that turns out to be just like mine in a short time. Thanks, Gary

Check to make sure the solenoids for up and down pump motor actuation are working. Over time, the internal contacts will build up carbon deposits and quit providing enough current to make the motor run. I was able to disassemble mine and burnish the contacts. They really should be replaced with new, but I'm a cheap SOB!
