So, I would strongly suggest doing more things than just the switch if you go in there....
I know this is the wrong way to do it, but I was not going to rip it apart. I just cut the wires from the old ones and soldered the new ones on with bare butt connectors and shrink wrapped them with a touch of grease. The boat has been in the water since april and I haven't had a problem yet. It wasn't worth it to me to rip everything apart, but you may want to.
