iBoaters, I'm looking some assistance. To the naked eye the vp sx lower leg casing looks identical to the Mercrusier alpha1 gen1 casing. Could I build my vp internals into a gen1 lower leg?

Say whut? I have to say I've never heard that one before. Be like overhauling a Chevy block with Ford pistons, crank, cam, etc.

Re: Mercruiser & VP SX?

they are only alike if your naked eye is bloodshot from a night of binge drinking and its foggy

two different castings made by two different companies. other than they both have a prop on the back end and a skeg on the bottom, they are completely different.
