Mercruiser WOT RPMS?

A guy at work just bought a ski boat .i think he said it had a 4.3 or 4.8 motor with an alpha one.he was wanting to know what the recomended rpms for the motor is.Thanks alot .

I'm no expert, but I think 4200-4800. If you find out exactly what the motor is someone will know for sure.

Thanks im pretty sure he said it was the 4.3,and the 4800 sounds about right i would think.

It "Sounds about right"

If that is all the closer you wanted to get, why did you even bother to ask.
Without a year, make model number or anything else you don't know anything for sure, and 4800 could be about 2000 rpm too high.

My CLYMER '86-'94 shop manual has the 4.3L full throttle range (rpm) 4400 to 4800, it does not show a 4.8L engine.
