Mercrusier 3.0 without digital ingition work on my former digital ignition boat??

I have a 92 Maxum bowrider and have had to replace the motor. The original with the boat was a merc 3.0 with the digital ignition. I bought a donor boat and the motor is a merc 3.0 but with the non-digital ignition (distributor etc). Will this motor still plug and go in my boat that was originally equipped with the digital set up?
