mercrusier engine alignment

I just have a quick question about alining a mercruser engine, I hade to replace the drive coupler and I just want to know when I am alining the drive with the alinment tool do I have the rear motor mounts tight and only loosen the front mount or are they all loose? It is an 88 3.0l with three mounts. Thanks

Rear should be fully secured . . . front loose, so you can adjust.

You only adjust the up and down on the front, and with the rear mounts torqued to spec.
