Mercury 100 4cyl no spark

Hi. Im having issues with my 100hp mercury 100. It started missing lightly when I took it out last not it wont start and has no spark. Im new to this and any ideas on where to begin would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have the safety switch that is a toggle? If you do make sure it is not stuck in the middle position.

I bought the pontoon used. I checked and it looked like it was disconnected

Look to see if those wires from the switch are tied together.

They are not tied together. The motor ran good for a few seconds, started missing then killed. Tried a few times later and it wouldn't start
