mercury 115 serial# 6478747 what year?

I am looking at a boat with a 115 hp merc. what year is the motor serial# 6478747 and how do i raise the motor so it will travel it has does not have a battery i just want to get it home on the evinrudes it has a set screw you loosen pick up motor then close it again thanks

Look for a plastic screw on the lower right of the trim unit. Loosten it and pick it up manually.<br /><br />-W
