Mercury 125 Saltwater use

Looking for some advice about using this motor in the saltwater for a two week period. I mainly fish the great lakes in Michigan but will be taking a trip to the Florida Keys. Can I leave the boat in the water? Do I need to flush the engine after every use? If I leave the boat in the water should I raise or lower the motor? Any kind of advice would help.

I would raise the motor out of the water, barnacles grow down here pretty quickly. Enjoy the Keys, it's one of my favorite places. Make sure you flush thoroughly when you do take it out of the water. Lot's of people leave their boats in the water here all of the time.
