Mercury 150 black max dead after carb removal and cleaning

What did I do??? It will start up in neutral it's rooms fluctuate wildly and in forward the engine will barely run for a few seconds at lowest throttle. Any ideas ideas would be greatly appreciated. I replaced the fuel hoses and had to temporarily remove the fuel pump. I can't think of what might be wrong.

I meant to say that the rams fluctuate wildly not that it's rooms do

Did you reconnect the timing linkage?

Did you use new gaskets? An air leak between a carb and the carb mount can cause this.

No I didn't use new gaskets, I'll get some new gaskets from a parts store in town.... or maybe would some gasket glue do the trick for this?
