Hoping I can find some help. My 150 XRi EFI (serial# 0G005814) is having an issue. Motor will run great for 15-30 minutes (5200 rpm @ wot) then abruptly drops down to 3000 rpm and will not rev out past that, like it is on the rev limiter. Motor is not throwing a code as I do not hear any beeps. Shutting down and restarting the engine has no effect, will still not rev past 3000 rpm. I have discovered that it if shut it down, disconnect the battery for 10-15 seconds then reconnect the battery and fire it up it will run perfect again for another 15-30 minutes then start dropping down to 3000 rpm again. Cooling is fine (new impeller last month), plugs are good, fuel system is good. In my searching I have read a few posts about a neutral rev safety that can go bad and possibly cause this issue, but I cannot seem to find any info about how to check it or where it is. Any help would be much appreciated!
