DSC00003 (1).JPGMercury 150HP Black Max .... Power Trim Problem It will go up , but will not come down . It worked off and on for 2 days ... then the down quick completely . It is now stuck in up position as seen in picture . I went through all the wiring all the way back to the 2 relays on the motor . I can feel both relays click when I hit the up and down button , so I think it is ok as far as wiring and relays ... Is the electric trim motor bad ??? AND , is there any way to get the motor back into the down position ??? Any thoughts on what is wrong and how to get it back down for now until I fix it ???? THANKS

Remove the blue and green wire from relay, Put green to + and blue to - and see if it runs. Someone has put a aftermarket trim motor on it already.

THANKS for the info ... I did try that yesterday ... No help .... BUT , this morning I thought what the hell , and went old school on it . I took a hammer and tapped on the top of both relays firmly ... and what the hell , it worked . 1 of the relays was stuck and was the problem .... Easy fix now . Just replace relays and go fish ... THANKS

Hi. Open the vent screw on the starboard side of the trim assembly. There is an access through way for a screw driver, via a hole in the side of the mounting assembly. Open this a few turns, but not all the way...she will soon drop down. Be mindful of her momentum once she does start to drop though. You ain’t stopping her...once she starts to move, if the vent is all the way open and gravity takes over. Make sure there is clearance for her to lower and not have the skeg hit anything.
