Anyone know where I can get a sticker set that will make a 20 HP Mercury (1973 Merc 200) look like a 15 HP? I know it is kinda illeagle, but the HP ratings are done differently in todays numbers, so I don't think I am really stretching the truth that far

They dont make decals for those engines anymore, but you can make one yourself, and have it printed at any local print shop that does vinyl. It cost me 25bux to print one for my 115.

Any cop or game warden who's been around boats at all will know by looking that your motor isn't a 15hp. Those old 20s are just too darn big to pass as a wolf in sheep's clothing. That, and they're a LOT faster than any 15hp. Next size down from that era was the 9.8hp model, so having a 15-horse motor that never existed may raise some eyebrows...<br />- Scott

I did a little digging and found out that you are correct. The 20 HP is a much bigger block, probably easy to spot from any distance. Guess I will just have to live with the 10 HP Evinrude on PAFBC lakes. Use the 20 HP on unlimited lakes and rivers :(
