Mercury 200 2.4l prop question

I have a 94 astro 18 fsx which had a 89 mariner 175 with a 2:1 gear, before that motor took a crap it turned a yamaha 25 pitch m prop to 5900. New motor is a 1990 mercury 200 with a 1.87:1 gear and will only turn this prop to 5000 rpms. Found a 22p tempest plus for a good deal, but wanted to check with yall first to see if this prop would be a good size to get the rpms back up to 5800-6000. Thanks

Probably wrong but the 22” tempest sounds like it may not be for your gearcase ? I thought it was only the enertia and one or two other merc props that broke the rule of thumb...being that for this size of gearcase they only came in odd numbered 2” increments.
