I have a '92 Mercury 25, this is the first year I've had it, so I'm not completely familiar with it yet. The first few times I took it out, it ran great including 2 days ago, then yesterday we went out and right away it started cutting out at WOT. It would run wide open for a minute or two, then start to cut out. It would never die, and if I let off the throttle it would come back. It idles and trolls fine. When it cut out, I could squeeze the fuel bulb and it felt really spongy but it didn't seem to help. I took the hood off and watched the fuel filter, and I could see the gas level drop in it just before it cut out, if i backed off the throttle and waited a bit, gas would come back in and away it would go. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!
