Hi all, i have a few problems with my 2001 mer 300Hp promax. I bought it 6 months ago and everything was fine, i started on the engine stand once i got it home and it sounded happy. I didnt start it again until i put it on the boat and when i did it bellowed a head of smoke and seemed to be running on 5 cylinders. I found that one cylinder had no spark and traced it back to the stator. I replaced it bit now the smoke remains and it intimidatantly misses and idles rough. I have checked compression, spark etc and everything seems fine, i also pulled apart and cleaned the fuel injection system thinking that was the issue but nothing changed. All my previous motors have been carby and i have no knowledge about the ecu system. Could something in my ecu be causing this motor to run rough and smoke like a house fire? Thanks
