Mercury 35 hp lower unit interchange?

What year's and hp are interchangeable
I have a 35 hp with broke lower unit 1989
I see 1 cheap on Craigslist but is from a 25 hp same year

25 will NOT fit. I believe the 35 2-cyl. and 45/50 4-cylinder models of the late 1970s-1980s will fit. A 60hp 3-cylinder gear foot will fit, but will have a different gear ratio, so avoid it if possible.
