Mercury 4hp Cooling Problem

Greetings. I have the Motor listed Above.<br /><br />i got it knowing it hasnt run in a while. put gas to it, 3 pulls and off we go.<br /><br />However, no water out the Pisser, i can fix it i am sure, is it the Impeller, or something like that. id also like to try to get the year of it and a BOOK for it, Mercury online is to expensive. sn # 3299816<br /> <br />i know now its a 1972 Model. I took the lower unit off tonight, it looks as if the line feeding the pump is was not connected right. any other ideas?

Well I would Change the impeller as long as you have it apart, and another thing is do you know for sure it wasn't pumping?? We bought a 20hp this spring and the mud wasp had gotten up in the "pisser" but it was still pumping...
