Hi new to forum and i have a 4hp merc outboard, initially i took the carb and fuel pump apart and put in all new gaskets and diapharms due to rotted fuel lines. Now motor won't start at all, great spark. I had all the idle jet screws out so i am thinking these are my problem now, all passages in the pump and carb are cleaned and clear, there is fuel in the float area. What i did was tighten (loosely) the jets into there seats, am i supposed to back them out abit? Thanks.
