Someone messed with the hoses on the carbs and I have them all figured out except one.The hose I am pointing at can someone tell me where it goes too or if there is even supposed to be one there. This hose is on the bowl of the very bottom carb labeled 45-3.I have looked at the manuals on boat info and could not find where it would go.The motor serial number is OG240562 if it is needed. Thanks for anyones help.

I think it should go to the enricher valve.

There is a hose that comes off of the #1 carb and then has a T in it.A hose runs from the T to the top nipple of the enricher valve. The bottom nipple of the enricher valve has a hose on it that connects to the intake manifold. That is the only two connections on the enricher valve so I do not know how this one could go there. The manual on boat info showed the two hoses on the enricher valve are in the correct position. Thanks for the reply.

I too was going to say enrichener valve (and carb is in wrong position). But how you describe your enrichener plumbing sounds right.

So now for a stab in the dark: - was there a manual start version of your engine / was the engine ever converted from a manual start? If there was that connection could have been the feed for the manual primer button. :noidea: and no longer needed.

I think the carbs are in the right place because they are stamped 45-1 through 45-3 from top to bottom. From looking at diagrams in the manual it looks like it is plumbed correctly and I can not find a place where this hose off of the third carb would be connected.I do not know about manual start, ever since I have had it I can not see where it looks like it was converted over to electric start. The previous owner did remove all of the oil injection stuff.I thought it might have ran to something that was removed for the oil injection but after reading up on the oil injection I did not see anywhere it would go.

How long have you owned the motor ?-----Have you run the motor with this hose the way it is ?----Is the other end of the hose plugged ?---Post the history on this matter.----Perhaps this carburetor was replaced / installed by a novice !

I bought this boat and motor from a man about 2 years ago.Right after buying it I got extremely sick so the boat has not been in the water since I bought it.I am now trying to get it ready for the water and when I would crank on it and push the key in the enricher was not adding any fuel.If I sprayed just a little bit of starting fluid it would crank when cold. When I looked at the hose routing in the manual and installed the hoses like it showed the enricher adds fuel fine now.The hose on the third float bowl that I am pointing at in the pic was connected to the top nipple of the enricher valve but hooked up this way the enricher valve was not supplying fuel and it is now that I did it like the manual shows. The only problem is when I unplugged that hose from the top nipple of the enricher valve there is no other place to plug it into.

The enricher pulls fuel from one carburetor bowl !-----Throw that extra hose away and install the regular plug in the bowl.

The enrichener valve had no chance of working with the bowl of No 1 carb fitted to No 3 carb.
But now you have alternative tubing, and my opinion a better solution than the original design because no longer taking fuel from the bowl of the carb, I have 100% agreement with racerone, loose the tube and plug the hole.

Hope your better now and can enjoy your boat.

When I plumbed it like it is now and it worked correctly I plugged the hose coming out of bowl on the third carb.I just wanted to hook it up to the correct spot if there was one but I will just leave it plugged now.The man that owned this boat did not know what he was doing because he had all kinds of wiring hooked up wrong and I fixed that so that all of the things like bilge, running lights, aerator, and trolling motor now work. Thanks for the well wishes I am ready to go do some fishing after dealing with cancer for the third time.
