Hi there, my 1st post, so bear with me!
1) Serial no. 09724434 (Belgian) but I can't find the year of manufacture, can someone help please?
2) I've got a 13' Dory with a 40hp Evinrude but I'm on the Isle of Wight and there are some mean tides and strong currents so I won't go out without a back-up. The top & bottom engine covers of my Suzuki 4hp have been badly damaged and I'm wondering whether the Mercury would be too big as a back-up or whether I'd be better of selling it and getting another 4hp engine.
