This motor has spark, but looks like a weak spark. Motor fired but will not start even on Ether starting fluid. Do you think CDI or coils? How to test?
This got my goat so I went back and tested the spark again. IT seems fairly normal with the 5/16 inch gap on the tester and etc. Could it be that when the plugs are in they ground out? I even put starting fluid in the plug hole and no go. I let the motor dry out to make sure it was not flooded. Never seen an outboard not fire with spark and Ether before.
