Good Afternoon boating world. Can anyone tell me if my outboard takes straight gas or I have to mix with oil. I believe my motor is a 1974 and a 4 cylinder motor. So, do I have to mix (if so, what's the ratio) or can just put gas in it. But, as my other posts have shown, I don't know much about outboards and don't want to blow up the motor. Thanks!

Your motor uses a 50:1 premix.

A bottle like this works well and is marked with the oil level needed for up how much gas you put in the tank.

Thanks GA. For some reason I can't see the bottle. Can you tell me the item details?

As said. 50-1 mix. We are working in litres here so easy for me to work it out without a mixing bottle. If you’re unsure buy a mixing jug.
You mention it’s a 4 cylinder. I might mention that this is not to be confused with a 4 stroke. Two different things.
All the best.

Pacman-----Before you launch the boat or turn the key to start it.-------I suggest you get an owners manual for your motor.-------Read it cover to cover.---Change the gear oil.-------Install a new water pump impeller.before launching the boat !
