Mercury 85hp serial number

Hi Everyone,
I'm hoping someone can help me out here with serial numbers cross-referencing. I've check multiple of site and even in a repair manual but nothing or no one seems to know the year of this outboard. The serial # is 7091597 which is displayed on the Mercury sticker and also embossed on the motor. Hopefully someone can help...

Closest I can come up with is a 1977.

That's great!!! Thanks, I wasn't aware that there was Canadian serial #. Very helpful and I'm glad I found this site.
