Mercury 9.8 & 9.9 prop question

First post, thanks in advance. I have a 2 blade thru prop exhaust 8 spline prop that is marked 9P A1. This fits a 7.5 - 9.8 mercury motor. Plenty of online info on this one. I also have an almost identical prop that has 9P A2 and M84 stamped on it that I can find zero info on. The only difference in the two props is that on the 9p A2 the bottom 1/8" is about 1/16" smaller dia on the end that goes against the foot so it can fit inside the hub or foot it appears. I would assume this one fits the 9.9 beginning in 86. but I can't verify. Anyone one know? Thanks.

Going to bet the prop listing herein can tell you. Plug in your old number or your outboard hp and yearmode. Note your answer. Then step up and plug in the hp and yearmodel for the new one and see what the model numbers say. If iboats can't help, Merc. prop listing ought to do it for you.
