hello guys whats up? ok heres the deal, last summer, my dad and his girlfriend were out boating, when they were swamped by a wave and the boat tipped over.weeks later we were called up and we retrieved out boat and motor. no i have a submerged engine to deal with, now all i want to know is how do i go about fixing this? like i looked and there is sand in the carburator and everything. what do i have to do to clean it?<br /><br />any help would be great.... thanks guys

A complete disassembly of the fuel system, carb, fuel filter, gastank and lines, probable replacement of ignition parts, cleaning and oiling of every moving part above the motor mounts.<br /><br />Salt water, or freshwater?<br /><br />These really need to be serviced within hours of being submerged.<br /><br />Hope the bearings are not corroded/rusted.<br /><br />Can you pull the starter rope?
