Last year I bought a 2nd hand but never used Mercury 9.9 2 Stroke outboarder. He ran very very smoothly.
But then after a 3 months break of using it (covid19) again in water it started to loose power .
So I cleaned the sparks, checked the fuel pipes and took out and cleaned as well the carburetor. There were in deed some dirty things in it.
So far so good but after reassambling the carburetor etc. and trying to start it:...and nothing. Means, the sparks were firing but no explosion inside.
So i took the carburetor out again and saw that the needle of the swimmer got stuck, I cleaned it and reassambled everything and tried again and: nothing again....
It seems that the fuel doesnt arrive, the sparks are very dry event after pulling the cord 10-20 times.
And there is another question mark: after the carburetor (cylinder )there are kind of swing doors, never seen something like that but seems all quite self conained.
Additionaly I tried as well using the starter spray but even with this highly explosiv gas, nothing, and the sparks are always firing....

What is happening ..???
Thanks so much for your help, ideas etc.!!!

Will
