I have a Mercury 9.9, 4 cycle twin, single coil thawhen run for 5 minutes starts running on one cyl and then dies and has no fire. I disconected the black/yellow kill switch and button on the end of the tiller , no fire then. I ohm ed the stator wires 406 ohm's between them and open to body ground.

I have not checked the coil for ohm's??. What is the chance I may have a bad powerpack.

Thank's Pat

I will post what I did to repair this when I get it running

Since you have only one coil we can delete that since one cyl continues to function when you drop the other. Looks like you nailed the only other option.
