Mercury 90 3 clyinder

I'm rebuilding my motor.Getting ready to put pistons on the rods and can't remember if the numbers on the rods face to the flywheel or does it matter.

It doesnt matter but make sure you have correct pistons as big difference between top & bottom guided piston/rods...
