Mercury Bigfoot keeps running

25 hp 4 stroke
Will not shut off with key or kill switch, ignition coil shorted causing starter to stay engaged. Disconnected battery, still ran, disconnected fuel line to kill power. Replaced ignition/kill switch, starter coil, wiring (bl/y) because black wire to key switch melted. Checked resistance on bl/y kill wire~good to ecm. Still keeps running... Could this need ecm replaced or reflash?

IDK, wow never seen a post like this,over my head.
I would go to cdielectronics.com and look up your motor, then call the tech guy or e-mail them with your problem they know..

Key/kill switch would not shut off motor. Disconnected battery, disengaged starter but did not shut off motor. so disconnected fuel to shut off motor. Coil was bad, replaced it. Kill switch wire melted when battery was reconnected without turning ignition on. Replaced kill switch and ignition then it would start with key but would not shut off with key or kill switch. Ran new wire to coil and ignition for a temporary fix. Without looking back at invoice I might have cut wire to ecm? Will start with ignition but only shut off with kill switch.
