I've just bought a Mecury Blueband 50HP with 'Thunderbolt Ignition' Serial Number: 9248413 ; Can anybody tell me...

the year it was manufactured (or how I can find out)
where I can get user and repair manuals for it
how good an engine is it

It's a 1980 Belguim built engine, owners manuals you can get from Mercury and watch ebay for service manuals OEM a by far the best. They are great old engines
