I have just purchased an old mercury 1350 no 303887. The middle carb has petrol leaking through the bellmouth. This happens when you prime the carbs and when its running. Can anyone tell me the age of engine and any ideas on the problem?

Re: mercury carbs

jimzx9r <br />Your Motor is a 1971 model. More than likely, your middle carb float is sticking or out of adjustment and allowing fuel to flow when it's not supposed to. Best thing to do is get a hold of a Carb. kit and clean and rebuild the carbs. This should take care of your problem. Also pick up a Manual, if you don't have one, which will guide you through the process. Best to do all the carbs while your at it, as the others probably need some attention also.
