Changing the enricher will not change rpm's, unless faulty or installed incorrectly or if fuel lines are faulty..cracked or hooked up wrong..

What do you mean by "Engine runs high RPM" ?

Prior to changing the enricher did you test it?

If tested what makes you think you it was bad?

Setting the timing by yourself isn't that hard really.. I know there are guys on here who will tell you how to do it the easy way. What i have done is take a wooden push broom pole, took a file and file a notch in the end big enough for the key to fit. Then with just the key in the ignition use the pole and turn the key.. i know its riverbillie as heck but it works..

Re: Mercury enricher vale 2

So when you push the key in does the enricher click and release fuel into the crankcase as it normally should?

all you have to do is remove the bottom fuel line from the enricher and push the key in, if it clicks and gas comes out then it is functioning properly. If it doesn't click, take a volt meter and have someone push it in, you should get 12 + volts at the pos n neg of the enricher, if no voltage you have something going wrong on in your control box.

After you verify the enricher is working properly Do a link n sync n go from there.
