i posted a Q. yesterday and got no replies i do appreciate any help from anyone... I need to take my boat to the shop today to get it back by the weekend, but was wanting to know if changing to a different flywheel may have caused my stator to burn out (windings shorted=no spark) please check my post from yesterday, for model # , it's a 1979 merc 200hp. had new stator in 2001 , very few hours on it, again all replies are greatly appreciated , thanx in advance

I don't think it would be related unless they damaged something when assembled

Thanx rwise for the reponse, I appreciate it. Do you know if there is any ajustment that would need to be made when replacing flywheel? i heard there was an air gap ajustment to make or something like that, is that right ? Or is there some cause that could make a stator burn out too soon? thanx agin bud good boating this summer
