I have a 1997 90 hp elpt force outboard on a 21 ft aluminum boat. I will be keeping it in fresh water for 6-7 months. I have read that I should use magnesium anodes on it but can not find any for force. Since Force was made by mercury can I use an appropriate model Mercury to order the anodes and have them fit? This assumes that I can find Mercury anodes in magnesium.

What model mercury should I look for if it is the same?
Since it will be in the water should I just use Zinc if I can not find magnesium (better than nothing right)
Anyone klnow who sells magnesium?

Any other better ideas?

Thanks

The gearcase on yours is a Mercury gearcase. If you order magnesium anodes for a 90 triple Merc, they'll fit your Force. There are three, the trim tab above the prop and two rectangular ones above the antiventilation plate. :)
