Mercury four stroke engine - how to release tilt lock?

I am a new boater and just added a mercury four stroke engine to an 8 foot newport vessel inflatable. The engine is tilted up and I cannot figure out how to release the tilt lock and move the engine back into the water. What am I missing? What lever do I push or pull to release it from a locked upright position?
