Mercury / Kiekhaerer Merc 100 ... Question

I picked up this older Mercury outboard today .... Its a Mercury / Kiekhaerer Merc 100 Ser. # 1291639 ... with a odd gear shifter ... That I have never seen before ..... From the Serial # ... I beleive the motor is a 1960 ... and was this shifter common on them ??? Any info would be great ...

Thanks FOR THE INFO ..... The motor has a bad water pump .. and I am told they are not easy toi fix ... so proably won't be fixing the motor ....

On the .... Auto Trany ... I am told there may be a collectors intrest in it ... What would be a fair price to a collector for it ?? It is in working condition and should clean up nice .....

Where are you? I'd like to have it just to have. I'm just getting into these motors and think that thing is WAY cool.
