Mercury outboard question

Does Mercury still make the 15hp in a 2 stroke? If not what was the last year they did?

Tohatsu has manufactured the small 2 stroke outboards for both Mercury and Nissan, for years.

Mercury does not market a small 2 stroke motor in the US, due to EPA restrictions.

Tohatsu is still making them, and Mercury is still selling them, in other countries.

I believe, the last year for importing to the US, a small normally aspirated 2 stroke engine was 2006.
Many were stockpiled, and sold as later model years, 2007, 2008, etc.

They are all gone now, unless you can find a dealer that has one stuffed in the basement.

In Mercury you have the standard 15 HP and the 15 Super, which is an 18, both made by Tohatsu. But you still can find the previous 15 HP made by Yam years back, seems old stock leftovers...
