Mercury Outboard

Hello, I just purchased a 14' Starcraft aluminum row boat. I'm looking for a used Mercury in the 7.5-15HP range. Are there any certain year or models that are very problematic such as ignition systems Etc. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

On the smaller motors, I don't believe there are any 'stay away from' years.

oh, there are some stay away years, but mostly johnnyrudes for sure..............seriously, search the merc motor section, and go from there
