I have a 1995 mercury promax 225-ser.# og205044-1925315rh--I ordered parts to rebuild water valve assy. after removing existing valve and inspecting my new parts my old valve does'nt have the carrier on it,and the block has the grommet installed on it.Is this correct? all the diagrams for my model # show the carrier,and it looks like the grommet installs on it.I'm wondering does it get the carrier since the block holds the grommet?Does the poppet seat against the grommet?that is what it looks like.
