Ok, we have an older style remote control with the trim and throttle only button on the side of the handle. My question is if somebody can tell me where I can find a pdf of this unit. There is this little pin looking thing that is held down with a spring and black stopper thing. Either way the movement from N to F or R is very tough and when I took that pin and spring out the shifter is like butter but I can start the motor in any position. Well, I found a spring kit and it looks to have the pieces I want to replace but not sure how the pin and spring or supposed to work. It looks to be when you push the throttle only button that pin should come up and put some how engage the throttle only not gears R/F. Sorry if this is very confusing but I am not really sure what the items are called I was looking at. I know that if I put those three pieces back the shifter feels bound up again and very hard to put in gear, take those three pieces out and shifter is smooth but will start in gear. Any and all questions are welcomed I will try to put a pic of the stuff I bought and maybe that will help somebody. I am not sure all this to go and a diagram would be helpful. The pin/spring/black thing I was talking about I took out is the pin in the lower left corner, long spring and the black thing is in the upper right. Took those out controls are smooth but will start in gear put back and control gets bound up and hard to put in gear. Now, it will go in gear but not sure what if any damage is happening. I also know that the button did work but has become a pain as of late and last Thursday it has stopped all together.
