Hi All,

Just in the process of fitting the modified Red Stator kit to my '88 80hp 3 Cylinder Merc.

Instructions are a little confusing though, I have fitted the new stator, adaptor, voltage regulator, and rectifier.

The instructions say to remove the red lead from engine harness that used to connect to the solenoid and that I should connect it to the terminal block as charging circuit connects direct to battery now???

Any ideas where this red lead (has an inline fuse) should be connected?

Thanks

Crashed

I have a red stator on my 1989 50HP 3 cyl, I know the red lead with the inline fuse you are on about but I cannot remember where it goes, when I go home at lunchtime I will have a look for you.

Regards Keith B..

On my engine it connects to the bottom terminal of the rectifier. I have three terminals on my rectifier, the top two have the two yellow wires from the stator and the bottom one has two red wires including the one we are talking about.

Hope this helps.

Keith B..
