Mercury Smartcraft instruments ?

Guys<br /><br />I’m waiting to collect a 2004 Mercury 30 EFI from my friendly dealer in Reading 4 hours away. I haven’t the time right now, but I have a question.<br /><br />Will ordinary instruments work OK, like an out of the box tachometer for like 60 bucks ? Or do you have to have the potentially wonderful and expensive Smartcraft stuff ?<br /><br />Thanks<br /><br />Dave

I believe you can set that motor up for either/or, but not both at the same time. If you have 1 analog gauge, you'll be stuck with all analog gauges.

Thanks, I’m looking for tachometer, fuel and voltage. Do you know if the switch option is user accessible ?<br /><br />Thanks<br /><br />Dave
