Hello all. I hope I have this in the correct place. I have a Mercury Sport Jet 175 xr2 in a 1998 Sugar Sand boat. At the beginning of the summer the motor was acting like it wanted to load up and would not run at WOT. Never missed just would not run but around 30 mph or so. Normally it will run 55 mph. I changed spark plugs and put it back in water. It ran great for 10 to 15 minutes then acts like its starving for fuel. I can turn the motor off and let sit for 10 to 15 minutes and it runs great again. Runs at top speed no issues. It will do this for another 10 to 15 minutes then starts to bog like its running out of fuel or flooding one or the other. It does not miss at all. You can hold throttle wide open and it turns maybe 2000 rpm or so with no type miss. Let it sit and runs fine. Can do this all day.

So far I have checked both fuel filters inline. Also checked screen in tank and all clear. Also pulled all three carbs off. All three look very clean on the inside. I also clamped the small fuel line going to the enrichment valve just to eliminate that dumping extra fuel in. No change. Also the oil injection on this motor has been removed. I now mix the oil with gas in tank. It has ran fine in the past. This is something new. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Gary
