Mercury Starter/Solenoid

I have a 1988 200HP Mercury outboard. The starter was clicking and not engaging properly. I replaced the solenoid. Now the starter does nothing and even the power trim switch is not working. The positive cable from the battery has power to the solenoid. Any ideas?

Check the fuse ?

The trim gets its juice from the starter solenoid terminal. Have you double checked your wiring hookup?

Did you check the ground(s) negative cables? it is a common reason for starters not working.

Took everything off all batteries slowly took each lead and put back starting from scratch! As Dr. Frankenstein said!!! SHES ALIVE!!!!!! THANK YOU BOAT REPAIR RADICALS!!!!
