My motor is leaking water around from where the block bolts onto the shaft. It seems to me that maybe just the seal is leaking because its old and because of this water is seeping out on the side around the blocks. But at high speed this becomes a spray so the sale water is corrodoing my spark plugs ;( and possibly grounding them causing missfire...

I bought another motor exactly the same without a lower unit but is unfortunately a short shaft so i can't just put the LU on and start using it.. The block in it has compression of 120-130 around all cylinders so its fairly good and plus i have all the other parts i could ever need like carbs, power packs, distributors etc..

This block currently in my motor is about 95-105 compression so it is fairly old and when it reaches about compression of 85 over the cylinders i will start putting the blcok from my newer motor onto this one.

My question is.. Why does the shaft/head leak water all into my case so theres more water coming out of the case than the peehole.

Currently i have gotten some epoxy glue (very heat resistant and strong) and sealed all around the block about 1-2mm thick where the seal is but it still leaks hte tiniest amount...

Is there any way i can fix this without removing the block and is it a matter of the blcok being screwed or can u fix it with new seals? Because soon or later im going to have to port the other block onto this one and i know the other one doesn't leak but any precautions should i take?

I heard also it might be corrosion eating the seal and aluminium away from ****heads that don't flush there motor properly (i always run for at least 10 minutes after a trip)

Thanks in advance iboat users
