mercury thunderbolt 80 hp water pump

how difficult would it be to service the water pump impellar on merc thunderbolt 80 hp

we just had it serviced at £400 and the tell tale is not working but it was before! engine still wont start without takeing out two plugs and giving them a squirt of petrol so I was wondering if there is something wrong with the fuel supply

Either the w/pump repair was done improperly or the telltale on the engine is suddenly pluged, but thats not the starting proplem that sound lile a fuel problem on a early thunderbolt it could be battery related, I don't know the year sorry

have poked a wire into the tell tale it feels to be blowing air but no water! cant run it for too long for fear of overheating it,

dont even know if they did the water pump in the service, need to get back to them on this
